Doctors

Ugh so my "female" Doctor that I've had since... heck junior High is moving! I'm so so so sad! I mean I have her personal cell phone number, how many doctors get that close to patients?

So now here I am 5 months pregnant and I have to go doctor shopping! I have to trust someone I just met with delivering my baby safely! I've been kinda stressed can you tell? Any who here are a few names that I have and I wanted to see if anyone has them... if they like them... and so on.

Julia Johansson- Circle of Life
Jed Naisbitt- Circle of Life (he delivered me ha ha I was his 2 ever delivery)
Karen Boheen- Layton tanner clinic I think?

Any who there they are, if you know them, have them, please let me know~

So funny story for the gals that read this. So do you know when you go to the "female" doctor and you have to pee in the cup? Well Justin couldn't come to the last appointment so Beckham came with me and he was in the restroom when I had to pee in the cup then he saw me send it through the wall and he kept looking at me funny. We proceeded with the appointment and after I was done he told me he had to go potty. So I opened the door and waited outside in the hall. Well he was taking forever so I walked in and he was naked, I thought that he was going to go number 2 (yes he has to be naked to go! SO annoying... he doesn't want to get poo on his clothes he says. We were at a friends house having dinner and next thing you know beckham is running to the potty naked. Anyone have pointers?) So anyways I told him that he couldn't go poop here naked and that he had to keep his clothes on but he looked at me with the most focused face and said "no mom, I have to send my pee through the wall, you can't put it in the potty here" I started laughing and did everything I could to stop him but all in all he sent his pee through the wall. The ladies on the other side were laughing so hard and told me not to worry about it. Justin is so going next appointment!

I have Julia. She is knowledgeable and to the point at appointments. I am not one for personal relationships with my doctor, so she is great for me, but I doubt you would end up with her personal cell phone anytime soon.

What a pain to have to switch now. Good luck with the decision!

So sorry you have to switch. That stinks. I have Karen Boheen...and LOVE HER!!!! She is great. And I think she did give me her cell phone number at one point. :) She was who I had the whole time we were trying to get pregnant and she delivered my other two. She is way nice and very easy to talk to. I have referred many friends and family to her and they all like her too.

But I also know SO many people who go to Julia and Naisbitt...and my sister-in-law works there and LOVES them. So I would say you are probably good with any of the three.

Good luck!!!

Julia delivered my twins. I had just moved here and wasn't telling people I was pregnant. I pretty much picked her out of a phone book and got lucky. I really liked her and she was very good. I agree with Bethany that you probably won't get her cell number. Have you considered a midwife. Sorry about the switch. Good Luck.

I know I don't know you, I happened on your blog from my SIL's blog. Julia has delivered both of my babies. I had unexpected complications with the first. She handled it so well. I would have had the same problems with the second but she was prepared for the worst again, and stopped it before it happened. I trust her with my life and my babies life.

I must really like her if I am commenting to someone I don't even know. Good luck with your pregnancy.

Dr. Julia delivered my little boy. I liked her but I hate how she never would answer my questions and my appointments were very breif. I wont be going back to her to say the least. The other one there at Circle of life he checked me out of the hospital after having Ethan. He seemed nice. I have heard many wonderful things about Karen Boheen. But never been to her. I go to Dr Craig Hurist in Layton and he is very nice very personable and answers ALL questions! Good Luck!

I have heard that Jed Naisbitt is wonderful. My mom actually works for him, and loves him. And obviously he's been doing it for a long time, so is very knowledgeable. I go to Dave Bierer there at Circle of Life, and I adore him. He's very friendly and has a relaxed manner.

Good luck! What a pain!

Oh dear! I am sorry you have to switch doctors. I had the same doctor for all three of my other boys and had to find a new one for this baby. I have Julia whom I chose because I heard goo things about her. Mainly that she was good with high risk prenancies and very relaxed in stressful situations. She saved my sister from having to have a C-section. However, I am with Bethany on the not getting her personal cell phone # thing. She is great at what she does and I definately feel like I trust her, but not much on the personal side of things. My appointments are very brief and to the point. Best wishes in finding a doc that fits you right.

I have Dr Boheen too. I worked for her for 5 years and she has been wonderful through all our infertility, and both deliveries. She is amazing and so good at what she does. She is not at tanner clinic though. She is in the Bitner building by the hospital. She shares an office with Dr Hurst who is also wonderful. I love love love her! I do have her cell number too, she is personable.

I would go with Karen Boheen. I have heard great things about her! I wasn't super happy with Julia. But, she is extremely smart and will deliver your baby safely. I am so thrilled to see your baby countdown on the side of your blog!! I seriously am teary-eyed! I just love you and I can't wait for this little guy to make his appearance! Love you!!!
