Can you believe it? I wasn't even really thinking about loosing Beckham's binki, but our neighbor (who has the cutest little boy) got her son off the bink. After reading about her experience, I thought... "Man, i need to get Beckham off" It was one of those moments where you realize you need to start doing this and start doing that. We did the "out of sight, out of mine" binky removal. It works now, but that first night all he was saying was "Bink-ti mommy Bink-ti" Those of you that know him well knew that binky and yellow were one word when it was time for bed, but now it's only yellow. (yellow is his blanket)
Here is one of my favorite bink pictures...

Way to go Beckham & Jamie! Doesn't it feel good to have done it. I think I miss it more sometimes than Jackson does. It's amazing how one day you think they can't survive without it and the next day they are doing great!
It's probabaly a good thing you did that now. I have heard the longer you let them go with it,the harder it is to let go! At least he is not missing it too much! it's true though, out of sight out of mind!
Yay. We had the binkie fairy come. I know it sounds goofy, but it worked. We went to the store and picked out a toy that they would want the binkie fairy to leave them. They put the binks by their doors (well Jackson put it by the front door because he did not want the fairy anywhere near him) and went to bed. In the morning, the binkies were gone and there was the toy that they wanted. It worked so well for both of my kids.
